The expanse of white sandy beach and shallow water makes this a great spot for families, with a wrap-around view of Eagle Bluff in Peninsula State Park forming the southern crescent, around to the view of our quintessential village on the hill. Ephraim Clayworks
Understated & beautiful, this handsome pottery is designed for use or as a special gift. The gallery, two doors down in a turn-of-the-century log cabin, is representative of what existed in the ‘Log Cabin District’ of Ephraim.

South Shore Pier has been renting boats to visitors of Door County since 1946. Whether you want a pontoon for a group cruise or prefer to paddle by kayak, South Shore has a range of water-faring vessels. Their location provides easy access to Nicolet Beach, Horseshoe Island, Eagle Bluff, and Eagle Lighthouse.

Our new next-door neighbor in the Shorewood Village Shops, this delightful Turkish-Mediterranean café leans on its roots, using fresh ingredients. Their variety of Baklava is amazing! Open 11-8pm daily.

Wilson’s Ice Cream Parlor
Since 1909, this historic ice cream parlor is a must visit. Enjoy home-brewed root beer and rich ice cream from the classic soda fountain. Lunch and dinner are served on the outdoor patio with a view of Ephraim’s acclaimed sunsets.

Good Eggs

Alexander’s, Fish Creek
Tried & true, Alexander’s offers delicious dinners & Sunday brunch. You’ll find something for everyone from their extensive menu. Alexander’s is open year round, Tuesday – Saturday. The full bar opens at 4pm; the dining room at 5pm. Reservations are encouraged.

Waterfront Restaurant, Sister Bay
The food at this waterfront restaurant rivals the brilliant sunsets that are the backdrop for dining. The menu changes seasonally, and often nightly, so feel free to visit more than once during your stay.

Thyme Restaurant & 1211 Wine Bar, Sister Bay
A new favorite with welcoming service in a trendy, yet elegant atmosphere created by owners Tonda & Karl. This modern eclectic restaurant features an open kitchen with patio for al fresco dining. Kids welcome. If a wait, check our 1211 Wine Bar next door, also with outdoor seating and a long view not often seen in Door County.

PC Junction, Peninsula Center
Bring the kids to this fun, train-themed restaurant where food is delivered by train and the Chef Conductor calls out village stops along the way. Families will also enjoy the numerous backyard activities including go-carts.

Charlie’s Smokehouse, Gills Rock
Three generations of fishermen bring the day’s catch to the smokehouse. Open year round, Charlie’s offers delicious smoked fish for a picnic to take to Peninsula Players Theater … or any stop along the shore! Ice cream and crackers round out their provisions.

Hardy Gallery
Anderson Dock, Ephraim
The building where Hardy Gallery is now was once a warehouse and dock for turn-of-the-19th-century steamships carrying summer guests and supplies. Now the building — which is on the National Register of Historic Places — hosts three art exhibits a year. Visitors can’t miss its graffitied clapboard exterior. The Hardy dock is a great fishing spot and perfect location to view vibrant sunsets.

Svalhus
Ephraim
Svalhus, which translates to “cool house” in Norwegian, resided on Eagle Harbor Inn’s property before the Neddersens donated the structure to the Ephraim Historical Foundation. After it was donated, the building was relocated to a spot near Anderson Dock and it now serves as a community research library and a living example of Norwegian architecture. The building is located five blocks north of Eagle Harbor Inn in the Historic District.
